Soundcheck '07

Posted: 28 January, 13:32 by Jon Dorsett

As you may know Peace School is connected through shared values with the SPEAK Network. SPEAK is a network of Christian students and young adults committed to praying and acting on issues of global injustice.

SPEAK’s annual gathering ‘Soundcheck’ is coming up (Sat 24th – Sun 25th February 2007) in London and so I thought I’d post the details up here for all who might be interested. Having been along to Soundcheck for the past 5 or 6 years I can highly recommend it for all who are passionate to know more about Gods heart for justice and want to connect with others engaged in shalom activism.

There’s loads of information on the website at www.speak.org.uk/sc07 but here are some things that will be happening:

· Inspiration from Tony Campolo the main speaker

· The great chance to get updated and informed on SPEAK’s Big Dress Campaign and Tour

· Loads of in-depth workshops to give information and ideas on the issues and skills that we need to make a difference together

· Lots of time and space to connect with like minded people from across the UK and beyond

· Many opportunities to be prayerful, creative and well fed throughout the weekend!

You can book online at www.speak.org.uk/sc07booking (crashpad accommodation is provided). Do spread the word to your friends as well and copy and forward these details.

Hope to see you there.
